Your Glow, Step by Step

Your comfort, confidence, and glow are our top priorities. Whether it’s your first tan or your fiftieth, this quick guide walks you through exactly what to expect—before, during, and after your appointment.

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

Exfoliation is everything.
Think of it like prepping a canvas—your skin needs to be smooth and clean to absorb the solution evenly. Exfoliate the night before or at least 4–6 hours prior to your appointment. Your skin will be softer, and your tan will last longer. No exfoliation = no even glow.

Pro tip: Pretend you're a piece of wood being sanded before it’s stained. Sexy, right? But necessary.

Shave 12–24 hours before your appointment.
Not 10 minutes before. Razor burn + fresh spray tan = no good.

Schedule beauty treatments ahead of time.
Hair, waxing, facials, massage? All should be done at least 24–48 hours in advance.
Nails? Fine to do same day—just before is best.

Skip the soap right before you come.
If you need to rinse off, go water-only.
Remove deodorant and makeup with a wipe (we recommend baby wipes or micellar water).
And if you’ve worn a bandage recently, let us know—it can leave residue we’ll need to remove.

Wear the right outfit.
Loose, cotton, comfy. Think cozy—not clingy.
No silk, spandex, denim, or tight socks.
Bonus: Bring a towel or sheet for your car seat if you're wearing shorts or a dress to avoid skin-on-surface marks.

WHEN YOU ARRIVE

You’ll undress to your comfort level—we have disposables if needed. Just remember: what you wear will leave tan lines. Want none? Totally your call.

You’ll apply barrier cream to:
• Hands (like regular lotion)
• Nail beds + cuticles
• Tops of feet + between toes
• Knees and elbows
This helps prevent over-absorption in those tricky spots.

The spray itself? Cool and light.
We’ll walk you through every pose and cue you step-by-step—no stress, no surprises.
Afterward, you’ll dry in privacy and slip into your loose, comfy post-glow outfit.

FYI: All our solutions are 100% vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, and use ECO-certified DHA.

AFTER YOUR TAN

Clothing: Keep it loose and cotton while your tan develops.
Avoid: Water, sweat, rain, licking pets (we’re serious), and babies drooling on you.
Hands: Do not touch your skin. Wash your hands 1–1.5 hours after your tan to avoid bronzed palms.
Sleeping in your tan?

  • Wear long sleeves and pants to prevent skin-on-skin transfer.

  • Socks on hands can help too.

  • Sweaty sleeper? Opt for our Rapid Tan formula instead.

FIRST RINSE

Timing matters.
You’ll rinse off after 2–6 hours (Rapid) or 8–12 hours (Standard).
No soap. Just warm water for 5 minutes until it runs clear. Use your hands to gently wash away all the bronzer.

Pro tip: If you get out of the shower and still see streaks—get back in. You didn’t rinse enough.

After your rinse:
• Pat dry, don’t rub.
• Moisturize daily with something clean and hydrating (fragrance-free is best).
• Skip long soaks in the bath or pool if you want to keep your glow going.

Hydrate.
Drink that water. Glow starts from the inside out.
